End result, the issue is raked up, but the Shiv Sena will benefit a bit. Not him. Also, the north Indians will now probably vote for the Congress. The NCP is a mostly Maharashtra party, so the N. Indians are unlikely to vote for them.
^ I agree with you. Those who are rioting are his goondas. If he thinks tht the common marathi maanus will come to his aide then he is grossly mistaken. That is because many maharashtrians have voiced their discontent with his ways, since, their daily lives are getting disrupted too because of all this commotion.
I was at prime ABGB yesterday, and the guy at the front desk, Swapnil (A maharashtrian) was literally fuming as he was unable to go home because of the tense situation on the road. Most common working class feel the same way. Afterall, at the end of the day, its the money tht runs a household and not somebody's petty political aspirations at the cost of the common man.

And to think of it, Mumbai doesnt really have a majority of the native community. This place is a melting pot and its hard to say whether its the gujjus, muslims, bhayyas or the maharashtrians who are in majority here. Add to tht the educated class, who dont really for such mind games by the politicians. So his vote bank has really shrinked further. The lowest class of natives may think of him as a messiah in disguise, but their population dont make a considerable difference to win elections in Mumbai. They are outdone by the migrant population, who'll never even think of voting for this idiot. Most Educated Maharashtrians wudnt either...Maybe the samajwadi party will gather some lost ground due the new found faith of the migrants, who may think of SP as their saviour now in troubled times (though they are no better than Raj)...
The days ahead are full of turmoil...not for the friggin politicians..but for the common working class mumbaikar...
