Having grown up in communist state of india i can say , indian communists are not what they were 20 years back. They have moved towards capitalism, partly to fill their coffers. They dont have links with masses anymore. Their own student and workers wings stage demonstrations against the state government. As said by KK once the top man dies, there will be nothing like communism in india, except ofcourse the name.
Coming back to topic, india has its own interest to look after in sikkim and aurnanchal pradesh. The day we fully support Tibet as sovereign, china will push hard on their claim on these states of india. Call it a dirty trade, call it selfishness, but thats how it is.
Well thats all the more reason to drum up the issue. Tibet has always been the bargaining counter to China. If we plan to abandon it now, we have frankly nothing left to counter China on any issue.
Anyway news from Tibet is that Chinese have moved in heavy machinery and troops into Tibet, thrown out the journalists so we have a big crackdown. What losers got the Olympics
And lesser said about the Indian communists the better. They say its internal matter of China but don't even say one word t protest and condemn the treatment being dished out to the Tibetans. I think its internal matter of India too with the Tibetan presence here. We have protests in India going on too. But no The marxists have nothing to say on that topic. Another bunch of losers
