I am yet to see fear factor losers getting a second chance. They just throw them out.
Winners are sleected by the tasks and not via chance.

As for the amazing race, sure it adds a fair bit of drama but even you will admit its nowhere close to what roadies is doing in roadies5. Its not about the tasks here. THose who did or didn't do a task, everyone got a chance.
