There was a marketing company report out day before that had these findings
1) Already there were people who were watching their own teams and supporting them and on days where there was no own team match, they didn't watch
2) The IPL matches have a TRP of 8.33 against 2.33 for saas bhau
3) There is a big interesting Urban areas that constitute the 50% viewership.
Now again everyone wants to know if this will go on or not? Looking at EPL, once city ricalry kicks in, its a hit formula.But will it sustain in India? The sceptics are saying the people are watching right now cos of the stars, but they say that over time even SRK would lose appeal as in KBC.
I personally think that if they eep atleast the Indian leg of this short, we will have an interest as this is seasonal and finishes in 2 months. After that a International club based championship as envisaged by ICC would rock.
