I don't think you can sit back and look at the breakthrough stuff when you are the ones experiencing them
Its a bit of flawed reasoning, similar to dismissing 4D space sitting inside a 3 space.
Personal computers have shrunk to laptops to even smaller mobiles. Internet has transformed everything around us. We have put people permanently in space. We have decoded and are doing great in decoding the human DNA to advance medical levels.
Obviously on a reference scale of 50 years, a lot of new things are seen, bigger massive achievements. Make the reference 20, those achievements look like improvements. Mark this day and look after 50 years and then you can judge what the present gen did.
