Default Re: Mallaya Slams Dravid, Charu

Flawed reasoning.
Took a backseat? None of the others in the management of the teams took a back seat during selection. In case of Rajasthan Royal's the management took more than an active interest in selection.

Lets come to history here shall we. Do we not all know history of Dravid. He is a test cricketer and a good one at that. To complain now that he is not doinga good job is unfair to him. Its also noobishness of Mallya.

He took a backseat, no one told him to. Again shows the man doesn't know a darn about cricket and entered to sell his wine and now he can't make much out of either. Take Ness waidia, he is a businessman too but a keen sportsman and he admitted on TV his interest in cricket and how he keenly interacted with the captain in selection process.

And now he has shown his foolishness by making all sorts of statements in public. I have no problem with the sacking of Charu, he didn't perform sack him, but why make statements sitting in a party in Istanbul probably high on beer. Does he even know that this is a team sport. And he has been lambasting the captain when that captain is still in the team on the penultimate day of the match. Again a stupid person only can do that. We all saw that next day the royal challengers were under intense pressure, completely offkey and it showed in the performance. Earlier they were losing close matches, now they just got mauled.

Obviously Mallya doesn't know much about building team morale, otehr than giving them his bottles of drinks, or he won't be making such statements in public. Its one thing talking in private, its quite another talking to the public that the captain has taken him for a ride and he has been worthless.

About criticising his team, I think they deserve it. He kept quiet for so many days. For how long will he keep quiet ? He is always known to speak his mind.
In team sports, you don't speak your mind to the public especially about a sitting captain and a team thats playing calling them third class(which is what he meant euphemistically). Obviously he has a long way to go before he knows his sports.

Btw i have no respect for that guy, i never had.
