Dean was caught with his pants down only because - he used the word on wrong person with wrong profile.

It seems Amla is very religious guy & devout follower - so with that single offhand remark or utterance Mr.Jones has extrapolated being devout akin to being a terrorist.

Or in another words - All terrorists are devout followers and that is a very bold statement to make and there-in lies the folly of his thinking or in his words the impromptu comment.

Its not the remark per-se but on whom & why & the context he has used it that as gone against him.

Anyways, was never a Dino fan And i don't think its going to effect his career - expect that he may have lost few fans but he might have gained few too - who knows
