FIFA Club World Cup 2006





FIFA Club World Cup 2006(formerly the FIFA Club World Championship) is a football tournament contested between the leading clubs from all 6 continental confederations and it being held at Japan between 10 and 17 December 2006.

The club champions from each of the six confederations will play in a knockout tournament. The quarterfinal matchups will be set up by a draw including the AFC, CAF, CONCACAF and OFC champions, while the UEFA and CONMEBOL champions will be given byes to the semifinals. The losers of the quarterfinals will play for the fifth place, while the losers of the semifinals will play in a third-place playoff.
