Fergie rules out Kaka deal Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has laughed off reports that he is about to sign AC Milan schemer Kaka.
Kaka has been reportedly earmarked to replace Cristiano Ronaldo should the latter move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Ferguson told the Daily Star that he will not be held to ransom over exorbitant transfer fees - even if he has the chance to put one over local rivals Man City. The Citizens tried in vain to sign the Brazilian playmaker during the January transfer window.
"What did Manchester City bid for Kaka - £100m? Do you think this club would pay £100m for a player? It's nice talk," he told the Daily Star on Sunday.
Meanwhile, speculation over Carlos Tevez's future is mounting.
The Argentine is yet to sign a permanent deal with the club as his two year loan deal expires this summer, but Ferguson hasn't given up hope of retaining the striker.
"I don't have a player to bring in there on the horizon. No one jumps out and we are still hoping to conclude our negotiations with his agent," he said
