Default Bandra - Worli Sealink in Mumbai
BWSL which will connect the suburban Bandra with Worli in south Mumbai will be inaugurated on June 30. The Bandra-Worli bridge would be inaugurated by ruling United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi On Tuesday afternoon.According to Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) officials the bridge will be thrown open to motorists at the stroke of midnight. It is also learnt that the Maharshtra government will not charge a toll in the initial days as a goodwill gesture.On Sunday, final touches were being given and a rehearsal of laser show was also held.

The eight-lane 5.6 km long Bandra Worli Sea Link, India’s First Bridge to be constructed in open sea conditions with a 4.7 km, twin, 4-lane independent carriageway, will link the city of Mumbai with its western suburbs. Aimed to ease traffic congestion in the city, it is the first phase of the Western Freeway Sea Link (Bandra to Nariman Point) with the second phase to stretch from Worli to Nariman Point.
