Simply because the Apache came at the wrong time. Right after it released, the Pulsar 150 also got digital meters, LED tail lamps and a much much better gearbox and the engine was refined much more.

The problem with TVS is their timing is really off....

When they launched the F2, they had the normal 150 in sight. But within a few days the 150 DTSi was released.

The F2 was then outdated in a matter of days. I still remember cursing TVS for their ads in which they shows that the F2 is better than the Pulsar 150. That was so frikkin unfair.

You cant compare an old bike to a new bike. I felt when the F2 flopped, TVS deserved it.

Now, it remains to be seen if the Apache RTR 160's launch timing is better or not.
