Devil New Supercars of 2007

It's the beginning of the new model season for supercars. And —as they do nearly every year—the hottest completely redefine the top end. The offerings for 2007 from Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, and other ultra brands.

The Porsche GT3 sure is a badass car, and with the advent of (I think it's called) PSM it's become even better to drive in the wet as well. I'll still stick to my 996GT3 though, the new lights still haven't grown on me. Also, the lack of Porsches version of DSG is sad. I've heard thr 997 Turbo may be a better buy thanks to the easy ability to simply chip the turbo (haha, sport button already does that). Does anyone know if the GT3 Spec Cups have already started? I remember watching a video of the 996 GT3 Spec Cups and they were incredible.

The Maserati QP is a subpar sedan. At least when it initially came out upto now. You're looking at paying 110k$ or so (new) for a car that eats clutches thanks to it's F1 transmission every 15k miles or so. The tranny is not smooth for cruising, all in all a poor execution a good idea. 2007 is supposed to bring a more conventional transmission to the table. Easily a better car would be the E39M5, E60M5, W211E55, W211E63 or W219CLS55 and W219CLS63. All of those cars have more power, and are a lot more smoother to drive... however in defense of the Maser, none of them have the overall panache that comes with having a Ferrari (or a close relative).

Morgan Aero 8, I cannot comment, never had this car.

Audi R, same as above.

AM DB9 Volante. I just have one thing to emphasis. The exhaust note on this car is powerful. That is an understatement. If a Ferrari has a lions roar, this car has a wolfs bark.

Bentley GTC, never had it, but if it's anything like the Continental (which.. um it is) you feel slight overtones of VW everywhere, especially with a few buttons. That's not a bad thing, but it's disappointing considering the cost you paid for the car. Same problem happens to the Flying Spur as well.

Ferrari 599, supposedly faster than the Enzo on certain tracks. Who cares though, it's still hell on wheels. I'd still prefer the 575M SuperAmerica though (strictly for looks though). The 599 will be the next shark in an Armani suit.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. My second favorite car in the world next to the Murcie R-GT. I'm too biased to comment on this god-like bat.

The Rolls Royce and Bentley Azure I don't like so I won't waste my time talking about them.
