What remarkable was the crash involving cavendish and McEwen after a spectator hurled somethign on road.

he stage was won by Quick Step Rider Gert Steegmans and Tom Boonen made it One - Two for the team.
Idea was for boonen to win it for team QSI as steegman was more of a pacemaker. Boonen just didn't have any power left and mcwean was just behind steegman so the heat was on. Ultimately a great end for QSI. I was expecting robbie to come do a repeat of 1st stage though.
Btw superb second race scenery wise. That castle(10th century one) was a treat to watch. This is why i enjoy the tour. Not only is the racing top class, the scenery is too good to be missed.
