errr doesnt this train have automatic doors ??
no re...they have normal (always open

) doors like the old ones...

the metros will have automatic doors..i'm just waiting for the metro service to start...then we'll see how long the doors survive the 'endurance test'..
As for the elevated tracks above the existing ones, tht is easier said than done..

It is a HUGE and complicated project to undertake..it'll mean closing parts of already overloaded routes for the cranes, workers, bridge girders, cement n concrete stock on a daily basis for years for such a long route..(close to 50 kms on the western route and longer on the central route)...tht'll mean more delayed trains, more passengers per train..more chaos..

Obviously if such an ambitious roject were possible, it will solve a lot of problems..but the problem is the construction period for such a long route....

Not to forget the maintenance of elevated routes and bridges itself run into millions every year..
