Best Non Fiction reads?

AS the title says
What is your favourite books in non fiction that you have read recently?
Maybe you all can post a description also. And please don't post college and industrial thesis here

Ok currently Brian Green's "The Elegant Universe"
A beautiful book in simple english that you can understand with basic science knowledge. If you ever wanted to know about Quantum Mechanics, Universe and the newest theories (String theory) that are redefining current views about our world around us, this is a masterful read. No equations and everything is explanined with everyday examples.

Gallipoli - Les Carlyon

Essential reading for anyone interested in the military history of the Commonwealth........ (Churchill was a criminal fool, the lives he wasted on stupid, poorly conceived adventures)

Last Call of the Bugle - Jack Galloway

Follows the exploits of 27th British Commonwealth Brigade during the Korean war, details the experiences of ANZAC, British & Canadian forces as time and again, our boys were thrown into action bailing out the incompetent Americans, only to be sidelined when the fighting was done, so MacArthur could stage his photo opportunities.. (I've corresponded with an American Colonel who was there, Col. David Hackworth and he's said that at soldier level, the Americans were grateful to have CW Forces fighting with them, but senior command were often embarrassed that American arms needed to be rescued by BCoN troops)

Extremely readable book about the importance of bio-diversity, and how speciation occurs.


The Naked Ape- Desmond Morris.
A study of how man evolved, both biologically and socially. Makes for interesting reading.

The Tibetian Book of Living and Dying- Sogyal Rinpoche.

Mates and Muchachos - Dr. Nora Kinzer Stewart

A comprehensive study/comparison relating to unit cohesion amongst British Commonwealth forces and that of their Argentine opponents during the Falklands War.

Please don't even think of reading that book. I don't know why its prescribed at all. Its the worst book to learn anything. Pick any by Robert lafore, you won't be disappointed.
