A1Books India - Home - Just ordered from here myself. Its basically tieup with the actual dealers.

Firstandsecond.com - India's Biggest Online Book Store - Pretty old site. Only complaint is that half the time the older books are out of stock. And the support is really bad.

Apart from this rediff, indiatimes and indianplaza are all safe.

Ok I have finally found the book I want on a1books. So before I order I would like to know about your experience of the site, especially whether the books arrive in the stated 15 day period and also about general cust service, etc. I would have just ordered from rediff but they have an upto 45day shipping period. Please advise.

Edit: Would like to know the same about IndiaPlaza (Fabmall) too. Thanks

I have purchased from a1books
As you might have noticed, a1books will just collect the payments and the actual publishers of the book will send the book. So if there are delays and you tell a1books(which btw is a big feat, just to find the support email id on faq page(its better now, earlier there was no mention even prominently)) and they will in turn tell you that please contact so and so who are the publishers of the book who are sending the same.
Basically i got one book in 2 days and 1 never came to me.(i ordered both at the same time)
I can't say i like a1books. This is about 8 months back so they might have changed now.
I have had great experience with Fabmall always, so go for them if you have a book there.
