Building collapses in Mumbai
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 (Mumbai)

A seven-storey building has collapsed in Borivali (West) in Mumbai killing at least four people and injuring 40 others.

BMC Commissioner told NDTV that many are trapped in the rubble and eight bodies have been admitted to Bhagwati hospital.

Rescue operations are on and eight fire engines and five ambulances have reached the spot.

The name of the building is Laxmi Chhaya.

Another building goes down.....what is surprising is tht this building is only 20 years old, didnt figure in the 'Dangerous buildings' list....just shows, how efficient our civic authorities are with their 'routine surveys' and inspections...

its 30 years old.... and i think they building residents had been warned by the civic authorities of an imminent collapse.

Really yaar... sabse tez shit!!! Oh, how i hate tht channel, but unfortunately, its my papa's favorite news channel and no matter how much we try to make him watch ndtv or times now, he just keeps coming back to aajtak... So have to watch the 10 pm news on Aajtak only...
Btw, i still dont know which of the two reports is true...any idea??
