Any railroad games coming?

Last i heard the train sim by MS had been dropped.
the other"trainz"wasn't upto it.
Any real world train simulator been released?

Btw do you guys like that genre?

the ms sim has had lot of expansion packs. Almost 99% are total crap. No real rendering. Only one that was good was the sahara one and it was paid.
Actually there might be lot of the expansion packs for it which are good but they are just too costly.

^^ yeah messa loves railroad too... havent played trainz as yet..... but lets see..

i love games like transport tycoon deluxe... man.. that was a legend. locomotion is good but doesnt get as exciting sometimes as tt.

I like railroads too..but the Tycoon series.. all tht micromanagement intrigues me..

its kinda fun to be able to micromanage everything. it just makes everything so customizable..
but a game which has the option of turning of the micromanagement and only dealing with macro stuff would be welcome.

any new railroad games out?

somehow the fans of the genre prefer to build the real model of the railroad
not that i don't like that, unfortunately its pretty expensive hobby


Anyway the good news is ms is coming with a top notch offering. Using the FS engine(wow grade material) this could be quite an awesome product, simply for the real world rendering and open ended play.

now tht i actually did some hunting seems like there is already some big time development on.
