A close shave with terrorism and bomb blast for me :(

in the aftermath of yesterday`s bomb blasts in ahmedabad the whole city administration of Surat was on high alert.


There are four different places where 4 bombs / bomb creating material was detected and defused.

The last discovery was a wagon -r car full of explosives, 4 live bombs, petrol cans were detected at about 6 pm in the parking lot of my hospital. :s

it was really a close call as it was a sunday there would have been a lot of public there because right below our hospitals there are many eateries and casualty would have easily crossed 50.

God`s grace, alert citizens and proactive administration has today saved surat from a big calamities.

I saw it in the news and i did think of you doc, never thought it would be your hospital.
Good lord, this is most dangerous trend. Are they going to target hospitals now How lame is that. Even in the world war the hospitals were spared.

What kind of immoral people are we dealing with here

there was one wagon-r car which exploded in ahmedabad civil hospital, one was detected in morning in surat in the area which my hospital is situated.

both the cars had registration numbers of vadodara and later found to be fake.

the same series car was spotted in our parking lot in evening and alert citzens informed police and bomb diffusal squad found explosives inside.

when i got the information the whole area was cordoned off for safety and diffusal was in process.

more details i can get in morning when building is reopened and we confront the reality.

Indians need to understand the value of every human life. Thank God our friend is safe, but the loss of even one life can not be tolerated.

IMHO, Government and administration has been too soft on terrorism all these years. This needs to change. Otherwise, its not far when democracy in India will be no more...
