HAPPY BIRTHDAY
"BAPPU"
a.k.a
MOHANDAS KARAMCHAND GANDHI
Today,October 2nd is the birthday of one of the world’s great philosophical leaders and one of the founders of an independent India, Mahatma Gandhi, whom we affectionately call as Bapu!
Mahatma Gandhi was a simple man, with simple tastes and high values. Respecting that, even though Gandhi Jayanti is a national holiday, the festivities are minimal, but Nearly 60 years after his death, Mahatma Gandhi's legacy still lives on,his convictions & preachings are are as much relevant as no time else and his eternal message of non-violence resonates with people across the globe more strongly than ever.
Consequently, October 2nd has been declared as the International Day of Non-Violence by U.N - a fitting tribute to the Father of the Nation.
However, as the world celebrates his values and contribution to humanity, it is only apt to pay tribute to all those people around the world who followed the path of non-violence while fighting for what they believed in, thereby ensuring that the spirit
of Gandhi continues to live on.
