TEHRAN -- The Embassy of Pakistan in Tehran arranged a function on the occasion of the Black Day marking the 60th anniversary of the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir on October 27. It was attended by a number of Iranian academicians, scholars, intellectuals, leading journalists, and members of the Pakistani community.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan Shafkat Saeed highlighted the suppression of the Kashmiri people at the hands of the Indian occupation forces and stated that according to the recent report by Human Rights Watch, over the past 18 years more than 100,000 Kashmiri men, women and children have laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. Besides, thousands have been incarcerated and their places of worship and cultural heritage destroyed.

Reiterating the need to find a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute, the ambassador said that Pakistan had taken an initiative and several measures for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He explained that Pakistan has proposed opening of the Kashmir border, reduction of forces on both sides and joint management of Kashmir by the representatives of its people as part of its efforts to seek a peaceful resolution to the problem. The ambassador also referred to the composite dialogue with India which began three years ago and which covers all aspects of bilateral relations including the core issue of Kashmir. .............

Arent these ppl evn ashamed of saying such things? So who has been slaying innocent ppl at gun point? Where are these militants coming from? Is this what they call peaceful measures for resolving the kashmir issue? N what issue, its a self created propaganda by those mfckrs.

They want the border to be opened up for them...yeah right, so that we have more blasts in every nook n corner of this country...Kashmir is just an excuse, if they had their say, those ba$tards wud take over the whole country. Bunch of fcukin hypocrites..why dont they try to solve the problems in their own home? Cant manage a miniscule country the size of an indian state, n talk about kashmir...the fcukin pests of this world, why dont they let others live in peace...
