> Minorities Front demands action against Google, Orkut officials

New Delhi : All India Minorities Front (AIMF) has demanded immediate arrest of Google and Orkut officials for defaming the profile of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Addressing demonstrators at Jantar Mantar here Tuesday, AIMF president S.M. Asif said there was a deep-rooted criminal conspiracy by Jews in insulting Prophet Muhammad through words and cartoons.
Asif urged Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to intervene in the matter. He warned that if these officials were not arrested within 48 hours, the minority community would come on to the streets.
Delhi Unit president of the National Panthers Party Sanjoy Sachdev said that insult of any religion is a heinous crime. The government was directed to ask the web experts across the country to bar access to the offending sites just in order to maintain communal harmony in society.
