OBC Quota and reservation policy

Just wanted to add, Arjun Singh and all politicians who are cementing their seats because of upholding this quota issue, I want to label them as "effing Baastids" whose Sons and daughter will reap the sins of the seeds these baastids are sowing

I think its the fight for IIM's and top medical institutes. No one is really bothered about the rest.

But what a rude shock to all the people from general category who were pinning their hopes on this years results. If guv has its way, which seems likely as it want s to go to the elections now, then about 27% of general category merit seats are going to go to OBC quota class. So a lot of people are out.
And i still can't understand how a institute can be great if 50% of the guys there don't deserve to be there. Lemme be logical. I am not at all saying don't give quota.

I think a poor man who has been exploited all his life, works as a farmer, laborer, his son getting 70% is as good as me getting 90%. He has had to deal with things i can't even imagine.

No offense, but i have seen most of my friends in OBC category lead as good a life as me(they still took the reserved seat in engineering) and they will take one now. Hows that for fairness?

yeah, these baastids, dont even know howm to keep quotas. The quotas must be more towardsthe economically backward people than the caste. I still remember about my 10th std examination fees, It was 660 Rupees odd for general merit and i was getting ready to note it down so that i can tell my Dad about it. Then came another memo where it said the SC ST guys have to pay only 18/- as examination fees. The guy sitting next to me was an SC, his dad was in a government office and thanx to these quotas his dad was already sitting in high position. That guy as soon as the memo came up, took oput 20 bucks from his pocket and paid it before that class ended. and he was one of the worst student in class when it came to studies and extra curricular activities

That guy didnt deserve it so do the other ppl who merely get seats by their caste. You want to make quotas? then make it according to their parents salary income for the house. Economically backward guys having a quota makes sense in everyway but not the caste quota. All Baastids supporting this caste quota must be dropped on their head when they were children

Also on a related issue, will this stop the divide among classes?
I mean come on, how parochial can that thinking be. How many people have started respecting the class that is getting the reservation already? They do get the top seats, but do they get the respect? If they do, then they get it for the actual work they do.
Now the OBC guys are against the general category guys and the general category against the OBC guys. Already news channels are reporting that more classes are now demanding to be declared backwards.
Add to that woman's quota. Are we a country or a fools amalgamation and we plan to continue with that? It has to end one day. Else class divide will never go.

We are fools amalgamation. As long as we keep quiet, we will continue to be in one. If there was some online petition, guide me to the link. Lemme do something silently. Hope there are some protests and i can join those protests

No online petition is going to help us now.

We now await private sector reservations.

well they did say ppl from govt sector / IT / civil and other engineering / army etc all will not get the reservation right ? also the 2.5 lac income ceiling ?

I didn't see any such clause
Where di you hear that from?

And 2.5lak is a lot I think a very few people have basic pay above that anyway, even in private sector(i am talking only basic, not the addons, bonuses and all) and anyway its easy to fake.

oh yea film and media ppl excempted as well.. i think on cnbc or one of the news channels. they defined what creamy sector meant and said all that.


yes its easy to fake and all that but at least its better than nothing. Though after all this its only the students who lose out from all the uncertainty

Only one judge has said that past and present MP's and MLA's are not eligible for reservation. So even that is not binding.

And i just checked most news sites No one has mentioned anything about gov sector employees or anything.
