I've been witnessing a lot of news of late regarding ragging and some of them are really disturbing esp the one shown in IBN live about indu was so sad.

what do you guys feel about it?

I feel it is okay to get to know ppl but should be done within limits.
But the problem is many students during college days fail to keep within limits.

After witnessing such gruesome stories, i feel it is better to be safe by completely banning ragging rather than risking lives with kids who aren't aware of their limits.

Lol, neat thread. I'm scared of what people may post regarding their experiences in college. Messa fresher too, and college opens next month.

ragging is banned,it still continues to haunt freshers,mostly in medical/engg colleges.
One way to curb it is 'harsh punishment'..

mostly places where students stay in hostels have it quite bad

^Yo... I was a locallite but have raggd folks in hostel for 3 yrs of my Engineering... Was horrible the way we usd to do it...

Yeah same was the case in my college. Tough i was ragged in 1st year(royally mind u) i myself never indulged in ragging my juniors. Ragging is fun when done within limits.

i was ragged in 1st yr (i don't want to go into details).... and yeah did rag a bit in 2nd and 3rd yr but nothing serious !!
