Well, bombay did survive the 93 riots, the serial bomb blasts after tht, including a deadly one at the stock exchange itself, and then the July 11th 2006 serial train blasts...the problem tht i see is not surviving or reviving in the aftermath, but what is done to prevent such things in future...tht is where India lags seriously behind the US....America too had a bad economic period after 9/11...those were really troubled times, with investment companies, airline companies going bankrupt...
But the difference tht i see is tht its been like 6 years since the 9/11 attacks and america is still going strong on security measures..but its hardly been a year since the last deadly train blasts of 7/11, and u can see the police men at the desk counters at suburban railway stations here dozing off, chatting with fellow policemen, giving free enquiry service to commuters...everything except doing the job for which they are set up there...surveillance!! i'm sure, same is the case with other cities as well....

.... And as long as this continues, such blasts will continue to happen...the security agencies here need to be more proactive...afterall, the life of the citizens depends on their efficiency....
