I heard Maharashtrians wanted reserved quotas for themselves in Government jobs offered in MH. Isnt this the height? If you think u deserve it, then *work* for it. Violence is not a solution at all.

Now even Uddhav Thakeray has taken an Anti North Indian stance. He was speaking on some occasion at the Airport Union office. He went on to say tht the Airport modernization will create 1 lac jobs and most of the jobs shud go to the sons of the soil. Outsiders will be packed and parcelled back to where they came from.

Clearly shows tht he is not able to digest tht Raj is hogging all the limelight at the moment by being on the front pages of national dailies, news channels etc. He wants to reassure the common 'Marathi Maanus' tht his party (Shiv Sena) is the true savior of the Maharashtrians and not Raj Thakeray.

Any sane man will be able to infer that its a war between the 2 cousins and not between the Maharashtrians and the North Indians as they are trying to portray. It simply proves that this whole family is a bunch of lousy rabble-rousers. Notorious demagogues who foment discontent among the masses by their wild oratory, only for some petty political gains.

And it is sad tht the law of the land is so freakin helpless tht they cud not gather the guts to arrest the man in question. He is unscathed by the commotion he, himself has created in the last few days in this peaceful city.

Now, due to the pressure from the central government, the state has finally lodged an official police complaint against Raj and his gundas, but it remains to be seen if they are actually prosecuted or not for inciting communal violence in the city and the surrounding areas.

I think you should see CNN-IBN (whose city is it after all).
They are showing a documentary. Anyway the point in that is that the Maharashtrians have a genuine hate for the Northie's(at the low income level) and its just coming out in the open. AS i said, there was resentment and thats come out in the open. Having said that i am myself a North Indian but i just feel that at the lower income group jobs, the locals should get preference. It doesn't matter at the top, but it does at the bottom.
