US Presidential Elections 2008-09

As Nikhil put it very honestly, their foreign policies and attitude aren't going to change with this monkey president. (C'mon, call me a racist now! ) Still, Obama looks promising and fresh.

But I really want Hillary to win. Amrika can go to hell.

I don't think that it would be a monkey guv with democrats in power.
A woman leading America will change something and so will a African American.

The reason for my support for Obama is that he is a fresh man. He doesn't ahve the weight of Bill Clinton over him, neither any old backlog of experience that will take the US policies nowhere. He has gone on record to say he believes in negotiating, with everyone. Is against war. Wants to involve the world and for a change will take a objective view of middle east.

I still feel it is too close to make a call. Even the votes from the indian community in US are divided. But one think is certain, the next prez would be a democrat. Personally I would like Obama to win. He has the backing of youth(atleast this is what is believed).

Romney has dropped out of the race now. So that makes McCain the clear winner for the Republicans. Contrary to what they are saying on tv, i think democrats should like this. Here is a guy winning the nomination who doesn't enjoy the support of the conservative hearland, the roots of republican party.
Although the other way to look at it is that McCain is winning the the conservative votes(for national election as republicans will still grudgingly vote McCain) while he will win the votes of the votebank of the democrats.

I spoke to a Political science, PHD student and he feels, Clinton will win eventually but doesn't rule out the possibility of obama winning. He says, both clinton and obama will be good for the job but obama will be slightly better.
He says ppl feel that McCain would be another bush in the making so that option is out.

McCain is actually saying that if Obama wins then on the D-Day of actual voting, people will vote McCain for obvious reasons. There will be a choice between a war veteran hero, white and between an inexperienced black Obama and the republicans are banking on that. With Hillary, McCain has no chance
