Its been quite a fascinating to watch it this time around. We always knew democratic race was going to be a close one between Obama and Clinton, but the republicans have thrown in a surprise with a three way fight(from the looks of it) with McCain leading.
Anyway what are your opinions on the elections. My bet is Democrats will win it, and while i would have wanted Obama to win it(much better for the world and about perception of US around the world) my money would be on Clinton unfortunately(Especially if she keeps crying )
If someone wants to debate global impact of this election and the candidates, lets shoot ---------------------------------------------- |

So more states are with Obama.
Clintons taken 8 states but more delegates. But issue is that the more Obama campaigns, he is gonna win more and as everyone is saying, Obama has got the momentum behind him and till the next Super Tuesday next month, we have lots of smaller states and Obama can cut away significantly into Clintons delegate count.
2000 needed on the democratic side and we are right now in the 500's so its a long way to go. Obama can do it.
And even if we go by the popular vote till now its split 50-48 for Clinton. Thats nothing to brag about for the clintons after being the first lady for 8 years. Everyone knows the Clintons. the same is not true about Obama. So if its about who has delivered the maximum punches this Super Tuesday, its Obama. He has clearly won the day.
On the republican side, Romney has been delivered a very good KO

Somehow the pundits have got it all messed up today. Has anyone checked out the delegate counts. I just assumed Clinton had more since she won the big three states. But proportional voting has meant that Obama won too and Obama won his states pretty convincingly.
The delegate counts after Super Tuesday (for today) is only some 20 delegate difference.
Overall Clinton is leading with some 80 delegates right now. But consider the fact also that she has more super delegates(the congressmen and the senators) that have pledged their allegiance to her before the race. Obama hasn't got as many.
The primaries coming up are now individual battles. I am pretty sure Obama will do well. He has delivered solid punches today. 14 states out of 22 is no small ask. And everyone is agreeing on that Analysis: McCain clear leader; split decision may help Obama - CNN.com

It looks like this one will be a brilliant photo finish and actually none of them might get enough votes for an outright nomination. Edwards support will be key. And imo thats going to Obama.
