3. Both should remember that the kid's life is more important than anything else.
4. Women should learn to accept and marry guys who are less qualified in terms of education than they are. Till date, this scenario hasn't changed.
I have a solution in 2 words... No kids...

That solution is not a solution.
Two countries are finding out why thats a bad idea Italy and Japan They are actually giving incentives for having kids. lol Italy is a strange case. I saw a BBC documentary where even though we all know Italy to be the nation of err free morality, high fashion there are no kids cos the women are career minded, don't want burdens and men don't want the responsibility also.
Not that this is gonna happen anytime soon in India, but then you are also leading to a skewed growth within the classes. In that scenario you can well see control passing on to those who don't have it at present. (i am alluding to classes, everyone can guess)

Re: Working women! Future of India?
Well, if not on a long term basis, then atleast for some years thr shud be some kinda emergency imposed in india to stop ppl from having kids.. Even a few years of curbing population growth with strict measures wud have a drastic effect on the overall rise in population..
Sometimes i think what sanjay gandhi had done in the 70s (mass sterilization) was right...indians dont understand the words of advice....they only follow it when its forced upon them... Something similar is required at the moment to curb population growth...probably military shud be given the authority to see to it tht all married ppl who have a kid are sterilized so tht there is no chance of having another kid...
Make me the president (and sack tht budhiyaa), then i'll see to it, tht its done the right way...
Kyunki....

Re: Working women! Future of India?
PR, that solution of yours was escapism. Yes, I agree it would be good if u just need a companion and she needs u and you both don't want kids. Fair enuf i say!
Indian population isn't gonna come down there are loads of ppl who are uneducated and ppl who waste time, without knowing what they can do. Infact I am angry with those OLD BOLT ppl of the yester years, they are responsible for what has happened now
Idiots in their leisure time didn't knwo what do to, they thought production was only producing kids 9 kids, 10 kids, 13 kids, man... didn't they have anything else to do?
Okay, back to the topic. I have been asking this question a lot of times. We have been discussing about how it would affect the children. Yes, children the future of india are going to be deeply affected because of this change, whether u accept it or not. I have asked a few female friends of mine, who slog it out in their companies working 10 to 12 hours on week days, they say once they get a kid, they will quit the job. Most of them aren't even healthy to get a kid. There are some women who understand that their primary duty is to build the family, some who go against the rules of nature end up spoiling a lot of things. alright, I've seen relationships between men and women going for a toss cos of women working. I read in rediff a few years back that a divorced lady had to go thru mental trauma and had to attend rehab cos of divorce. The reason behind the divorce was that she wanted to work late in the nights, her hubby thought that her health was getting spoil cos of that, so he asked her to take up a day time job or quit night time shifts. She thought he was tryin to curb her growth which she enjoyed. So she filed for divorce after a lot of arguments. Now which is important? Family? Health? Or job and success?
Your views on that please?

Re: Working women! Future of India?
All the three things are important in a woman's life.........see first of all I personally dont agree with night shifts in India...cos our day night sleep cycle gets weird after few days....cos when everyone is enjoyin out there in day, you are sleeping...no family interaction, health drops as he rightly said....also there's a high level of risk involved for women on night shifts....so instead of going for a divorce the husband shud have talked it out with her.....also if her doctor had advised her to leave that night time job, I guess she would have promptly leave the job....between if she's married (in INDIA) it would be really difficult to attend to her child's needs too....there are many similar roled job in day time also.....she would easily succeeded in her career through it....
Agnel, in India as you know, when a woman gets married her responsibilities increased double time. she has to take care of her maternal family, in-laws, husband, child, & her job. In India, people live on relationships that are maintained, its since their childhood they are taught such things.
Hence IMO what that woman did was totally wrong, cos what her husband was saying was for her betterment only....not for his success over her

Re: Working women! Future of India?
^^ see, I told you, that the husband of that female had been telling her to quit cos of her health, but she felt insecure about losing her job, so her priorities were different.
To add to what i've been telling, i've seen quite a few guys in my work place who were protective and were against their girl friends working till late night. Those women used to leave home at 8 AM in the morning and return back at 10:30 PM. Their bfs wanted them to either stand up and say they can work like that or quit and find a better job. Reasons were security of the girls and concern about the health.
After a lot of heated arguments over that, the girls 2 of them I know, decided that they can't stay with those guys and they broke up. One of those guys is still trying to move on. There could be many more, but this was just one of those incidents which i came across.
larky, hc we need ur views here, come on
