The Queenslander, who these days carries himself with such an arrogant swagger that even his team-mates sometimes shake their heads, has become too big for his boots.

Symonds treats just about everyone with disdain - rival players, journalists, his employers and even some of his team-mates.

But instead Symonds has been allowed to carry on thinking he is bigger than the game. Perhaps he may be best focusing on a life outside cricket because it has got to the stage where his increasingly bad attitude can no longer be tolerated.

Well, what can I say, it's high time that the Australian squad were actually disciplined whenever they branch off on their own as opposed to attending mandatory team duties...

The bigger problem is that this is only the latest in a long run of incidents involving a number of senior players, so while it is unfair to slag him off in isolation, it is hopefully an indication that Australian cricket might take the game & the squad's role in the game more professionally than they've done in the past.
