Whatever Indian news channels have gone to the dogs n worse even,
...but the timing of the planting of the story through
friendly media channels would convince how Dravid's
people wanted to save the job for him. The moment
people were saying that Dravid had been a failure as a
captain in terms of decision making, motivating his
teammates, and that Saurav and Sachin were being seen
together, motivating youngsters, media from a part of
the country (Rajan Bala, Bobili Vijay Kumar of TOI,
Narayana Murthy etc) started planting stories in the
media that people like Saurav are causing rift in the
team , they are playing slowly for making more money
etc and as Murthy said they should be chucked out and
Dravid should be given more power.
The moment Dravid saw that Sachin and Saurav had
developed a strong bonding on and off the field and
the youngsters are getting drawn towards them, Dravid
went into a shell, shutting himself out from the rest
of the team, probably busying himself inside a closted
room, plotting his next move to thwart any threat to
his captaincy using people from his own land. So, the
best thing they can do is to malign Saurav again for
his own failures, by conjuring yet another bagful of
lies. They didn't expect that Saurav would himself
trump them by disclosing his contracts to BCCI.
As was known from past tours and his prsent behavior,
Dravid is comfortable only among his own people. On
earlier tours, it was reported, he used to have lunch,
dinner and go outside only with people like Sreenath,
Kumble etc. These people used to maintain a group
within the larger group. Dravid is the dirtiest thing
to happen in Indian cricket. He is the most insecure,
jealous, conspiring, backbiting and divisive guy we
ever had. One wouldn;t be surprised, if one day it is
found that Dravid was one of the brains behind all
those stories that maligned Saurav, starting from the
Zimbabwe tour. When Chappell alleged that Saurav held
onto captaincy because of financial reasons, one could
sense that some jealous teammate gave this idea to
Chappell, who grabbed it and used it against Saurav.
Similarly, I am sure it is the jealousy that Saurav
bagged the most coveted Puma contract, could have
resulted in the allegation of Saurav playing slowly
because of contractually mandated monetary reasons.
Look at the regionalism of these guys. Rajan Bala in
his interview to Aajtak during the world cup alleged
that Chappell's e-mail to BCCI was leaked by a
Calcutta based journalist, because of regional
reasons. How would then Rajan Bala descrie his own SMS
leak after the world cup? Didn;t he do this to save
his fellow Bangalorian Dravid's captaincy? He also
said how great it was for Chappell to praise Dinesh
Kaarthik to be a future captaincy material. Now where
does Kaarthik come from? Had this praise gone to
Yuvraj by, say, John Wright, what would Rajan Bala
have said then? He also said Sachin is such a good
guy, his outburst to the media against Chappell was
instigated by someone else from the team, indirectly
pointing towards Saurav.
The regionalism in these guys doesn;t even escape so
called great men like Narayana Murthy of Infosys. In
my long memory, I never saw Murthy writing about the
ills plaguing Indian cricket. But the moment Dravid's
captaincy was at stake after getting kicked out from
the world cup, this gentleman sold his reputation as
the cleanest and most respectable businessman, wealth
creator to come out openly in support of Dravid,
saying he heard that some seniors are creating rift in
the team derailing the process. How did he know that?
By hearsay from regionally minded journos or by his
own ingrained regionalism? Was he ever part of the
team or traveled with the team to have such an insight
on team issues? Does he conduct his own business this
way? if that is so, I worry that organizational
politics is a huge thing in Infosys, where decisions
are made, based on simple allegations, without looking
at the context, without ever probing them deeply and
probab;y people from his own region are the winners in
such politics.
India is divided right across the middle, left, right
and top down too.

Now, the BIG question is....where does Indian Cricket & India look forward to from here????
SAD INDIA!
