Why this hurts:
1) Because we had it in the bag damn it

2) Because the pitch was a dodo

3) Because the Aussies had fielded their B team at best and non existent bowling line up

4) And we had everything going for us

Felt so sad for Sachin in the end. He is a great man, and you cannot ever fault him for his passion and commitment for India(you can't say the same for others

) but its sad when no one can hang around to finish the job

I really feel though that Sachin should have finished it. He knew what could happen as he saw against Pakistan in 1999, and yet

Same as nagpur. The ball was coming on nicely so the opening was nothing spectacular.

Fact was that in the run chase, India were ahead of Australia througout. They even were ahead in the end (didn't even play the last 2 balls and Aussies hit the second last ball to the fence

So in the end it was Indians who gave it away

I can understand not hyping up an innings for a losing cause, but that was no ordinary knock by Sachin. He needed to atleast praise his knock once.

This game reminded me the Chennai test against Pakistan where India lost 4 wickets within 10 runs and gifted Pakistan victory with 1 day to go after Sachin got out.
