Ban On Shoaib Akhtar Lifted - To play the 2007 Cricket World Cup

The farce has finally ended, we all thought that PCB was pro-active and banned Shoaib Akthar & Mohammad Asif for 2 years for doping in Champions Trophy alas all that was a sham.

They have lifted the ban saying the way the tests were conducted was wrong - whatever that means.

Basically, it seems they were getting their case for Shoaib's and Asif's innocence ready behind the scene.

Now that PCB has lifted the Ban it would mean Shoaib Akthar and Mohammad Asif can take part in the World Cup 2007.

This is sure to get ICC reacting. PCB is blaming the Lab in Malaysia which conducted the tests for wrong doing.

I sincerely hope, dopers are taken of the equation before the World Cup starts. Its a shame how folks can get away with anything.

^^ nah.. its just a shame how pakistan can get away with anything..

i tht till few days back everyone in pakistan was saying that asif might get away but shoaib is a goner..

well one can never predict anything about Pakistan, be it in politics or cricket

Go go dopers! If only they would do enough, we could see them bowling all over the field instead of staying on the pitch, that would be so cool!

Aussies are gonna thrash the "dopers" to "dopeyland" ..
i.e. if they make it to the quarters!!

Damn just to get them ready they removed d ban...I guess ICC reacts to this after givin lots of praise toPCB for cumin out with the results.....

& Doesnt WADA(World Anti-Doping Agency) have any say in this issue....

^ Actually PCB is raising question marks against WADA and Indian Officials i think.

ICC would surely react along with WADA - lets see how this pans out.

Update:

News is WADA is going to take this issue up with ICC. They have called the PCB's decision to lift the ban as 'Unreasonable'

I hope ICC steps in and takes out these dopers.
