"We are more disappointed (than you) and we respect the emotions of our fans and the country.
We gave our best and we say that with an open heart, we have nothing to hide. But the next Twenty20 world cup is coming again in nine months and we would have an opportunity of proving ourselves," said a dejected Dhoni after India's heart-breaking three-run loss at Lord's last night.
Dhoni sent Jadeja ahead of Yuvraj and himself but the young all-rounder consumed 35 balls for his 25 in the middle overs to put pressure on his batting partners which ultimately led to India losing the match by three runs to crash out of the tournament. "Sometimes you don't know what would happen. We thought Jadeja could stabilise the innings as well as go after the bowling. He did try but somehow he always found the fielders.
It was unfortunate it didn't work for us. We needed somebody to play percentage cricket at that stage.
Only if he hadn't "thought" that much...

Jadeja playing so early in his career and has done quite well. They are humans and bound to fail. I can't believe how the hypocrites are pointing fingers at this Indian team as if they NEVER failed in their lives.
India has failed under dhoni after a long time. Yes, they did make a mistake and he is humble enough to admit and apologize.
Ganguly has not even tried to remain humble if you compare him as a captain. Even humble Dravid had been criticized to have an attitude.
fickle indian supporters
I will any day support my Indian team

It happens with big teams sometimes!
Maybe India was over-confident of being one of the favorites and strongest team

Yes, Our team, comprising 'humans' may fail sometimes.
But what I meant was, it was such a crucial game. Didn't Dhoni know that if they lose this one, they will be out of the tournament??
What was the need to send inexperienced Jadeja at such a stage???
Isn't he thinking too much? |

What if yuvraj came out ahead of jadeja and got out immediately? Again we would crib saying, he should have been protected for the final assault.
It can work both ways. He is one of the few Indian captains who plays for the team.

But we need to support OUR team when they are down. I really hate when people try to make jokes or mock them for the amount of advertising they do. Mostly it is the jealousy of people that they aren't making money as much as the cricketers .
See in FunEnclave, people want more free nickels but they arne't happy to see Indian cricketers make money Hypocrites

Questions that need to be asked - Captaincy Blunders
- Failure to cope up with short pitch bowling.
- Mental and physical fatigue due to IPL.
Wishing away the hard questions and just saying "We are sorry" ain't gonna help. Indian team, unlike what Dhoni said, did not give their 100% yesterday.

Captaincy blunders, some decisions failed this time.
Failure to cope up with short pitch bowling, no one knew it coming.
3rd point is what is going to be the big talking point. Fatigue is the main reason and easy excuse
