Not to forget Indian coach Greg Chappell is taking on Indian Parliamentarians, if the problems on the field weren't enough this sure can turn out to be a handful for him - he needs to buck up and channelize his latent energy for the betterment of the current squad instead of all the hara-kiri he manges to land himself in. All he needs is an attitude overhaul.

I don't think Chappell was against Laxman and Kumble. Those two are not in the ODIs, but is that surprising? You don't need Chappell for that. Hell, Kumble and Laxman have been in and out of the ODI team long before Chappell came along. But they have always been test team regulars.

According to chappell both laxman and kumble r unfit to play one day cricket whereas that fat-ass shewag is made the vice captan despite his pathetic performance. Both laxman and kumble are quality players , if they can play so well in tests they sure can play well in ODI's as well. And its not as if we have an option here , its straight to world cup after this series and at present form can team india afford to ignore players like laxman and Kumble from the worldcup squad ?

Yes its true, when they left they sucked but according to chappell they were sucking even now. Had it not been for Dilip vengsarkar... players like Ganguly, Laxman. kumble & Zaheer wud have not got a chance to play in SA.

That wud have been true if chappell wud have actually realized his mistakes. It was not chappell who brought back dada and laxman in d side , it was the indian cricket board and india's pathetic performance in the ODI's. He had no other option left but to include them in d side.
