I felt it so, now ppl are talking about it. From hunger strike to lashing it out on TV, national achievers are questioning the government for the way it recognized the young indian team. Pankaj advani today on tv has so clearly asked questioned the karnataka CM. Awesome it was, the way he asked on CNN IBN. Political parties are playing their games with teh cricketers. Now BCCI has increased the package. See what a world cup victory brings in? Isn't it really unfair for the other achievers of the country?

Now Australian cricketer Andrew symonds has added to his captain's comments that they want to give it back to India. He has gone on to say, "We have had a very successful side and I think watching how we celebrate and how they celebrate, I think we have been pretty humble in the way we have gone about it."

"And personally, I think they have got far too carried away with their celebrations. It has definitely sparked passion inside of us. It has certainly spiced it up as well."

having said all that i will only say its pure jealousy on part of the others. No its not the money, its the reception that has soured them
But thats simply cos none of the others have acually won a world cup. And the other sports are not that popular(who watches billiards? imo the only thing i have watched myself is 9ball and sometimes snooker when ronnie,higgins and davis are around but its still not a game for mass consumption) Its downright foolish for these other sportsmen to make a hue and cry now. Imo tennis has been very popular(remember the old davis cup ties, it was a cricket like atmosphere) but not every sport is going to be popular and frankly if they are to be the indians have to show themselves at world level.



To the Indian team, as i said before, they are number one fools. T20 was a slogging game and partying 2 days before a Australia match is idiotic. Theya re forgetting the fact that public memory is very short in India. One loss and the same media will be gunning for their heads. A lot of players got away with it in20-20 due to short format, it ain't gonna happen now.

IMO people know which game to give reception & not....cricket is popular in INDIA & will be popular even if the team loses the series now....I just know now one thing that other achievers shud bring their game so high that they shud bring victories in almost every game they play. they shud set their standards high....politics would always be there in INDIA, not only in cricket but everywhere.....in each sport.......look how it was depicted in Chak De India...that Committees are not interested in the game, but are in the game of money & the kind of leverage they get via this form....

IMO India is the only team which is keeping ICC going on....if Indian team is not there in ICC the whole cricketing game would fall in world....no country has the fan following as INDIA.....damn we indians are just so foools that we tend to follow that whenever it INDIA vs PAKISTAN...its a war....they are not players but Soldiers fighting on Border for our country.....ppl...just give some break to the players...they also need to chilax....they are also human being like us.....they are not gods....

IMO i agree wid agnel....that Indians have gone to far & the young team has set the bar so high now it would be difficult for them to cross it .......the only hope is left for those three senior players.....let them sit outside of this series & let the whole world see the reality........

I agree that cricket is a fun game for us all indians. But the cash awards being given out. It is really pathetic. These folks already earned so much from the win, plus endorsements and also contract now.

to add to that, 5 lakhs/ 10 lakhs being awarded. The other folks who have achieved should atleast be recognized. Money isn't what they want. Obviously it is insulting and feels like step mother treatment as rightly put.

These idiotic politicians are the real culprits.

Coming back to the form of India, i just hope India doesn't lose like ponting and co have planned. If that happens, then.... u will see the following..
