I have admiited that Pakistan didn't played well enough in semi Younis dropping Elliot's too easy catch but what can I say, He had a finger injury but still playing

NZ reached the final, but Pakistan played well They defended well, but unlucky

Nope i just watched the last 10 overs of Pakistan innings and then first few of Kiwi innings. I thought Kiwi's were gonna lose so switched off and went to sleep

last overs Umer Gul and Naveed weren't bowling any good But NZ's batsmen were good too You didn't watched Kiwis middle innings that's why or you would have seen thos lbw chances 2 of them so clear

Simon Taufel apologises to Akmal


Umpire Simon Taufel has apologized to Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal after footage replays confirmed that the Australian erred in ruling him out at the Champions Trophy semifinal against New Zealand in Johannesburg.

According to team sources, Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam had a heated argument with umpires Taufel and Ian Gould at the hearing, called by match referee Javagal Srinath after the umpires reported that Akmal had shown dissent on being given out.


Taufel`s apology came after the footage of the match made it clear that Akmal played the Daniel Vettori`s delivery with his bat, but was given out LBW.

"When the hearing was held, Alam vented his frustration on the umpires and asked Srinath to run the replays of Umar`s dismissal and other key moments in the match when decisions went against Pakistan," the source told reporters.

"Replays certainly showed that Taufel had erred badly by giving out Umar at a crucial time of the match on the bowling of Daniel Vettori," the source added.

The source said Srinath, the former India pacer was also sympathetic to the plea of the Pakistan coach after which Taufel apologised to the player for his mistake.

Nobody made any noise when Suresh raina was adjudged LBW in the match against Pakistan. I think such thing happen in most of the matches. Kiwis played well and deserved to play the final
