Ok guys so the Nagpur match is down and dusted and as i had predicted in my scoops on the build up of the match, the result is there for all to see
(hey now give me that much, i got most things right in the pre match scoops, Sreesanth got the game, it was 300+ wicket
(and it was aussies making the score), Uthappa did give it to the Aussies
albeit for a losing cause and well Aussies did win it. I can't say if the Indian team plans to watch

So we reach the VCA grounds today. Very good stadium. Not too big, but located at a good spot and its a very green city, this. VCA is known for its "Aussie pitch" with lush outfields and as i had mentioned before, that was what we got. Brilliant lush green lightening fast outfield(thanks to the super hot nagpur heat
) and on the whole a packed 40k house. Dampner#1 (aee saab cameras are not allowed... what?? yes sir. Too dangerous. Arre bhai hum paas waale hain... nothing doing sir jee.

The guy along with gili then starts an assault. I say a machine gun won't have done it any better.

Arre bhai one down hone kee aur apne bowlers kee koi izzat nahin karta, plus it was actually swinging around. I guess you have to be there really to appreciate the Australians. Ponting, Gili, Symonds, the Aussies never really say die. They are aggressive in the true sense of the word. No not words alone as Indians tried doing, they put it in action. Give it to them this is a champion team and i have no doubt they are gonna remain one for some time really.
Ok back to match, Mr jamaaii seems to be under tremendous pressure. Every one of my friends was saying he was under pressure, heck the whole stadium was saying so for all i care. He looked all that. His body language was tense and well what happens when thats the case
ball follows you. So well it did and Dravid dropped gili. Now it looked a pretty tough catch to me frankly with all the acrobatics that he made but it seems no one else saw it that way. There was general consensus dravid has just dropped the match for India(remember steve waugh and gibbs, league stage 99 world cup). Dravid had a bad day in the field. He took a stunner at slips(hodge) but i see no one talking about that on TV
He missed one right at the end off the aussie innings too. Frankly Dravid is under pressure and very badly. hopefully he will come back cos i wouldn't want a great guy going out of cricket on a bad form. The swords are really out for dravid(including a dravid haay haay when he came to bat later) The TV stations are in full Dravid bashing swing too as i see now
Now sreesanth, damn it whats wrong with him. Chak de ka kuch ulta matlab nikaal liya Sree ne. Arre run to jitne pitane hain pitaao but symonds ka catch drop

Rahi sahi kasar Dhoni ne Yuvi se poori karwa dee. Kartik was really bowling well when he took him off and giving the ball to Yuvraj. While i know why as he wanted to finish 10 overs fast but it badly backfired and really lessened the pressure off:

) Damn the man, he is power. (why isn't there some steroid testing done in cricket?) Ok now salutes to the nagpur crowd. Everyone applauded symonds. Really he was too joyous on reaching the 100 and running around like errr... a monkey
but hats off, thats power display by him.

What did India did wrong:
1) Dropped catches. Hang dravid and especially Sreesanth, can you imagine Symonds going for 1
2) Shocking captaincy from Dhoni. Bringing Yuvraaj on was a disaster.
3) Lax attitude. Everyone who was watching felt that. It just looked as if Indians are as if confident of chasing down any score so letting the aussies make anything
4) Sreesanth .. lesser said about the bloody fool the better
Now i missed the initial fireworks by Dada-Sachin
Half of it actually. No food in stadium btw "Bhookh Hartaal for cricket is what BCCI believes in" Fortunately i and my friends don't believe in anything like that so i was out of the stadium for lunch
All cricket was there on TV so you can't miss anything in India
Sachin as usual had his slow scratchy start and dada really looked in supreme touch. Then it got vice versa and Sachin hit some magnificent 6's(the pull especially was superb
You could hear the Indians were doing great anywhere in 10KM radius of stadium today with the shouts, ok bit of exaggeration, but get the idea

Back in stadium, the wily fox ponting doesn't take the 3rd power play; the runs dry out. Dada was doing tooka tooki
but 10 wickets in hand you would have thought he would win the game. Lot of french and swiss cuts in his knock (ok i invented the term swiss cut just now
don't strain your brain too much) The best part was the whacking of Lee though.
There is no
fun like seeing a fast bowler get hit(remember Shoaib-Sachin duel WC, South Africa)(no not Sreesanth
) and Brett got badly hit by Tendulkar.
Now i always think that a big partnership always produces 2 wickets when it ends but it didn't happen this time. we all though 7ro for 25 overs with dhoni yuvi around won't be tough and chak de was blasting too. The trouble started due to Sourav playing slowly when Pathan came in and then top it all, blunder of the season, dravid comes in. Dravid btw got hooted by the crowd once he started playing defensively with ro reaching 8. Dada got out but fine, i think he did his job. What was unacceptable was Dravid and Yuvraaj eating up the balls then. What was criminal here that was not with dada is that now the ro was 8 and the ball was old. And if you can't hit symonds, you cannot play. Dravid had a forgetful outing and he was not to be seen in the players gallery after that. He just vanished after getting out. Some people even said he had gone to his in laws house

Anyway by this stage the match was over and we decided to make a quick getaway before the crowds decide to
(sadly that way we missed the Uthappa Dhoni show but really it was a futile show as India had no chance of chasing 12 for 10 overs. Great effort by Dhoni but really he should have come in place of dravid.)
It was not a close match. Whoever said it was needs to be shot
It was aussie show with some entertainment provided by Indians but the Indians only fired when they themselves knew it was a lost cause and they might as well hit out. "tukka" jaida nahin chalta and certainly not against Aussies.
Indians were never never in the game after sachin and Sourav got out.
What went wrong:
1) Dhoni: He cooked his brain today in Nagour heat
Sending dravid at 4 was a shocker.
2) Sourav batting slowly. I don't blame him much though, openers need to bat well especially since we know what happens once India doesn't get a start(Vadodra anyone?) But maybe he could have taken Symonds and Hodge(he never got to face clarke, a pity really
for us)
3) Exceptional Aussies. Guys they are brilliant. I mean did you see the fielding. Top class. They were diving around like their life dependent on it. And today was a bad day i hear in office for the aussies. Gosh good days in the field, and aussies are unmatched.
4) Spin. No Indians can't play spin anymore. They play pace better. It just looked like that. Imo the Dhonis like the ball coming on. Its the old guard that actually can hit the spinners. They didn't do much today though.
Thats all from VCA. Last match here as there is a new stadium now. I think this is a great pitch frankly. Its been pacy and fast. India has good memories(west indies last year) and some bad ones(australia winning test series
and the infamous Jimmy Adams saving the match for windies way back)
All said and done, Aussies are too good. India is nowhere in comparison. The former have to play badly and Indians out of their skin to be a match.
(Btw i got a chance to watch any match after some 8 years
right place at the right time frankly, i never was before this
i think tv is better though.. but its
fun if you have some friends around
