Re: India Vs Australia CB Series Finals 2008 - Images
Good win India, congrats......
Sachin Tendulkar, what a star and what a shame that he went down on 91 rather than go through for his 100, as he deserved it........
As for Australia........ man, what is it with these guys, yes they played hard, but you have to ask, (or rather they have to ask themselves), why are they becoming so reliant on desperate last stand cricket???? Mitchell Johnson........... I've never seen so many wides bowled by an Australian player in one over........... Yes, he can certainly put some speed on the ball, but if you're not accurate, what's the point?? Jeff Thompson, (who Johnson seems to emulate), was a case in point, he became a better bowler when he slowed down......
Having said all that, it doesn't take away from the fact that India gave them a cricketing lesson and absolutely deserved their win last night

Re: India Vs Australia CB Series Finals 2008 - Images
Finally after 85 they won in Australia
Actually but for the cheating at Sydney, we would have drawn the Tests too. Well we found a bucketfull of fast bowlers on this tour. I dunno how they are gonna balance them. Ishant, Sreesanth, Irfan, Pravin, RP, Munaf, Zaheer It seems we can play a all fast bowlers 11 and still have some to spare
On the other hand we still can't find a good spinner. After Bhajji who has his bad days quite regularly, there is no good spinner in India today.
The batting is ok but when it mattered the old guard was the one batting Yuvraj has been off colour throughout the series, running after deepika's and bottles of liquor.(see who grabbed the champaign yesterday when everyone was busy to grab the cup) Robin Uthappa hasn't been what he was in T20. Only two guys have made some impression and they are Gambhir and Rohit. Dhoni has been remarkable in the finals in how he handled the pressure and even victory.
So all in all its good going for India but we have to see the batting without Sachin to judge where this team is. The openers are a big problem even now.

^^ what else can I say, my pal safin said it all
One more interesting thing to notice, dhoni batted consistently well in all the matches.
2nd thing to notice, 20-20 was a practice after all

Well it just is showing that we have no good players left for tests. Dhoni, Yuvraj have not done anything to deserve a test spot. And the old guard is ready to go from there also.

We have a good spinner in piyush. also a good bat he is.
for test, ppl i think will make a difference for the future, i mean another 3 - 5 years.
Rohit sharma
dinesh karthik
suresh raina
and gambir if he can prove his mettle
Pathan will have to play a big role in the future.

What has Raina done that you have put him on the hopeful list
And Rohit and Gambhir haven't done anything too. Gambhir is the best probable to do well. Dinesh Kartik is good but he has to come back to form
And Piyush has done nothing for us to say he is a good spinner Don't look at his age. Its the performance that matters.
