Dada has shown that when it matters, ok i give Sachin credit too  , its the men that have the character and experience that have performed. Oh Kumble too On a track where survival was difficult, Ganguly managed to control the whole latter half of the Indian innings. When he got out, close to stumps, eight wickets had fallen and he knew he had to take complete charge and farm the strike. Ganguly compared this innings to his comeback knock at the Wanderers in December 2006, and said the conditions here perhaps made this one a better knock. However, there won't be a bigger tribute to this innings than to say he successfully took the bar one level higher than where Laxman had left it.

 Hats off to dada. It was a truly masterful innings from him. Its a pity he got out when he had set himself up for a fine century. Nevertheless he held the Indian innings together and made sure India didn't surrender meekly in the absence of sachin.
However Yuvraj and Dhoni have proved again that test cricket is not their cup of tea. Selectors have not done the right thing by throwing the captaincy at Dhoni. He hasn't proved himself at test level and by making him a skipper selectors have sent the signals that he is irreplaceable.

Yes Dhoni is being pumped up without any results.
Seriously he should be fighting for his place in the tests and not being assured of a guaranteed place as he is being done now with a VC tag and captaincy in this match.

At the end of day two, I still think SA have their nose in front. Indians will have to bowl really well to bowl out SA under 200, anything above 220 will be next to impossible.
