> Injured Dravid ruled out of the SA ODI series

I guess i read the ticker on the news channels correctly where they wrote that Dravid injured his ..|.. finger and will not play the next ODI..

and i'm all like.. will India even cross 91 runs in the next game??


Indian skipper Rahul Dravid is ruled out of the remaining part of the One-day cricket series against South Africa due to a finger injury.

Dravid, who sustained the injury while batting in the third cricket One-dayer against South Africa on Sunday, would join his teammates in Port Elizabeth later in the day.

Virender Sehwag will lead the Indian team for the remainder of the One-day series. According to reports, Dravid fractured his finger while going for a catch off Harbhajan Singh's bowling in the 26th over of the South African innings.

Port Elizabeth is the venue for the fourth One-dayer of the five-match series which the home team is leading by an unassailable margin of 2-0, the first tie being washed out by rain.

The Indians have been hit by injuries to key players on the tour which has started on a disastrous note for them.

Virender Sehwag cut his middle finger before the start of the tour-opening warm-up match in Benoni on November 16 and missed out on the second match in Durban. Paceman Munaf Patel sat out of the third match on Sunday owing to a sore left ankle.

India are already without key ODI player Yuvraj Singh who hurt his knee during Champions Trophy in late October.

like always happened in Indian Cricket.

following a bad series a captain ruins his career, two examples are in my mind Srikanth and vengsarkar.

now as we have different teams for test and odis this gives two chances to the selectors

and to add some more salt vengsarkar himself is the chairman of selectors he would love to test the same blood which he shed few years ago

btw dropping sehwag from test side is not a good idea, he is much better player in tests than odi contrary to his image.

Bah! The Coach and the captain is not doing any good to the team! So trying to get back Dada wouldn't really hurt! If it has to lose, why not experiment and then lose?

Moreover, everytime when there is danger of losing their place in the team, they start playing like Dhoni! So I guess they should be under probation for every match. You under perform in one match, and you are out!

Oh.. and Dravid could be faking injury or maybe too ashamed to play the next match!!!
