Lara goes on demolition drive!

Brian Lara gave a master class in batting once again today as he took the Pakistani attack apart and in particular hit Kaneria out of the attack hitting him for 26 in one over on the third day of the 2nd test in Multan. Kaneria was hit for 3 sixes and 2 facing the champion batsman.

Total champion that Lara is, and that he plays for the team and not for himself(hear hear Indian team so called champions) that when in the 190's he refused to take singles to protect Ramdin so that windies don't lose wicket at the end of the day. Anyone else would have been interested in completing his century.

Well now that he is only 1 century behind Sachin, but there is no mistaking that Lara is far better batsman to tendulkar in tests and always leads from the front(unlike ...)

Well be prepared for another double tomorrow.

This is Lara's 19th score above 150....A world Record.

Bradman has 18 scores above 150(from 52 tests )
Sachin has 15.

I actually agree with dippo here...... Lara is a Gr8 batsmen but not better then tendulkar....besides u r sayin dis just coz he played well in dis match ......had this been tendulkar instead of lara , u wud hve said d same thing abt him aswell ! Form is the only factor here .....when in Top form both can prove to be very deadly

Lara is the Greatest(atleast in TESTS,if not in ODIs) and He was quite modest to tell that Sachin is greatest(tats wat he told in a recent intreview..)....But U guys Should check the statistics...

In his last 18 Tests (including this one) Lara has scored eight hundreds at 55.94 & he has scored 11,688 runs in 128 mts whereas Sachin has abt 10,469 runs of 132 mts....Tats abt 1000 runs short even though he has played more matches..

But this doesnt mean that Sachin isnt Great....

For Me, Both are the Greatest Batsmen of Modern Era that Cricket has seen after the Likes of Bradman,Gavaskar,Richards........

I kn this isnt abt runs or averages but since you have brought this up let me inform you that Sachins average is superior to Lara's in all forms of the game.

Newayz I told in the End tat both are the Greatest Batsmen Modern Era has seen...

If you are batting at no-4 in an Indian TEST team with frail openers then not-outs are def noteworthy.
And I dont think he has had many not outs in Test cricket...Has to be lot of bare pitches in India where there are only 3 innings completed lot of times. Also could be some abandonments...
also WI have been patheitc for a long time...Indians have steamrolled lot of teams in India
