Finally the ICC seems to be applying the same rules equally..
(or atleast trying to, cant say the same after the way they tried to protect Hair)

Australian captain Ricky Ponting has been fined his entire match fee after showing dissent to an umpire's decision by action and verbal abuse during Australia's 78 run victory over the West Indies in Kuala Lumpur earlier today in the first match of DLF Cup against West Indies.

Ponting was charged following his inappropriate reaction to a wide called by umpire Asad Ruf during the 33rd of the West Indies innings.

Although the charge would normally only result in the player losing 50% of their match fee, it resulted in Ponting losing it all due to being charged with the same offence during the second Test against Bangladesh in April earlier this year.

^ He should sit out for this series - as he is the Captain & should lead by example. That would have been fair to both India & the issue on hand

actually if he does it again, thats what he will face. Remember Dada episode(although in his case it was the slow over rate issue) but the punishment is the same due to the reason you mentioned, captains lead by example
