If he just said maa ki, then it doesnt qualify to be an abusive word...it simply means 'your mother's....'..well, as long as u dont add anything beyond it, it cannot be called as bad or offensive language.. Most ppl in india just end there..even while having a friendly chat..its not considered highly offensive when a noun is not added beyond 'teri maa ki..'... And even if one says, 'teri maa ki aankh' (commonly used), does it qualify to be a bad word? It simply means, your mother's eyes.. /so its debatable if it qualifies to be bad word or not... "maa ki" is not complete in itself to be called an abusive word.. However, 'ba$tard' definitely is...it leaves not doubts in the mind, as to what the abuser means to say..
