Sachin Tendulkar to Sport New Logo on Bat

Twenty years ago, when Sachin Tendulkar entered the imagination of the cricketing world, "Power" the sports goods brand was visible prominently on his bat.
A few years later he went on to attain legendary status and also drove the "MRF" brand along with him to attain cult status amongst his Fan Followers,thanks to its visibility on his broad bat.The "MRF Bat" has been the one he has been using since ages now and it has featured in almost everywhere he has been and done that,from being depicted as a GOD to His Madame Tussauds wax statue and through many Centuries



But as the 36-year-old takes fresh guard this season, the red initials of the tyre company will be replaced by global sports goods firm "Adidas".

Sachin Tendulkar is very choosy when it comes to his cricket gear. He's also finicky about what to use and when. But when it comes to his blazing magnum, the master blaster has a typical method to judge which blade is the best.

The curve should be right, so must be the shape, its weight spot on and the feel familiar. No, its not Sachin Tendulkar describing a lady, he is talking about a cricket bat.

The man who will soon complete two decades in international cricket, revealed the secret behind his super bat selections on Friday.

Tendulkar unveiled a new bat made by Adidas and said he would be using it from now on. “My inputs are important because ultimately it is me who has to go out and bat,” he said.

Among the various parameters to choose was Tendulkar's unique way to know which bat will fetch him most runs. "Maybe the bats speak to me," was how Tendulkar put it when Harsha Bhogle quizzed him. Tendulkar was speaking at the launch of Adidas' new cricketing gear and was also presented with a custom-made bat.

"You keep checking your bat, tapping it with your fingers. What does that tell you?," Bhogle asked, to which a chatty Tendulkar said, "I can't explain. Usually, I look for a bat which is roundish in curve and has a good pick up, balance and weight." He then laughed while adding, "Most importantly, it should be good for strokeplay."

Talking about his cricketing gear, Tendulkar said
Recalling the different bats he's used over the years, Tendulkar said,

The man who's spending a lot of time training on the field and in the gym looked fitter and fresher. His 'ribbed' physique spoke of his readiness for the new season.
Reflecting on his long association with the game, the 36-year-old said,

This is hear-break for small kids playing cricket. They always dreamed of having an 'MRF bat' and now they will look out for ADIDAS bats.

seriously do you know? When a bat get sticker of 'MRF' it's price rises by folds........(offcourse I am not taking about proffesional cricket players, but about players in every colony, gulli. )
