Shoaib slapped woolmer , commented on Greg's wife !

According to a report, retired army colonel Anil Kaul, the liaison officer of the Pakistani team in India, Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar got into a spat with coach Bob Woolmer in Jaipur (before the start of Champions Trophy) over an I-pod song in the team bus.

"Woolmer kept quiet initially (after Shoaib changed the music) but then started to crack jokes about the song. At this point, Shoaib simply slapped Woolmer."

Later in the night, following the team dinner, Akhtar got into another fight as he forcibly tried to dance with a girl at a disco. "The team liaison officer got him out of the hotel but Akhtar then went up to where the Indian team was staying and started banging on the doors.

He accidentally banged on the door of Indian coach Greg Chappell too and his wife came out, dressed in her night clothes," a TV channel said, quoting the army officer.

"Shoaib made some comments about her. The next morning, I was having breakfast with the team manager when Woolmer stormed in. He said even Chappell has complained about Shoaib and strict action must be taken." A few hours later, Akhtar and Asif were sent packing.

Woolmer denied these incidents but did admit that there were disciplinary issues with Akhtar. "I don't know who is spreading these rumours. There was a disciplinary issue when Shoaib was up in the evening, so we had a little bit of a problem," he said.

Shoaib files appeal: Meanwhile, Shoaib has filed an appeal against his two-year ban for doping. "We have received Shoaib's appeal today which was the last date for filing appeals," a PCB official said on Wednesday.
