I agree. Even Ponting admitted this in the press confrence. Personally I think Symonds was the biggest flop of the series. He was the man of the series in India but in this series he threw away his wicket after getting the starts.

I don't buy this.
He is a great player and now people expect better stuff from him. You can't expect Sehwag to do the same as Sachin and thats cos Sachin has raised the bar high for himself.

Now he can't say give me pressure free environment. People expect him to perform when the heat is on. As it is the best players are the ones that perform when the chips are down. Look at Lara. In almost all innings he did well, he was batting in hopeless conditions where all his team mates were just getting out.
