South Africa names unchanged squad for India match
JOHANNESBURG, Nov 8: South Africa named an unchanged team on Wednesday for the first of five One-Day Internationals against India.
Graeme Smith will lead the same squad that lost to the West Indies in last week's semifinals of the Champions Trophy despite his indifferent batting form and debated decisions.
The match against India will be at Johannesburg's Wanderers Stadium on Nov. 19. South African selectors also named a strong 15-man Rest of South Africa squad to meet India in a warm-up in Benoni on Nov. 16.
Test player Ashwell Prince will captain a side including batsman J P Duminy, wicketkeeper Morne van Wyk and all-rounder Johann van der Wath, who are all pushing for places in the full team as second-ranked South Africa prepares for the World Cup next March.
South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Loots Bosman, Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs, A.B. de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Justin Kemp, Shaun Pollock, Robin Peterson, Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini, Boeta Dippenaar, Andrew Hall, Charl Langeveldt.
