One time wonder as in he played great only in one match or ?

In cricket you have something called form. There would be times in your career where everyone is bound to hit that bad/lean patch - we can't throw someone out because of that - like him or hate him, at the moment he is India's no.1 keeper by far.

at the moment he is India's no.1 keeper by far.
Absolutely....infact he is the only Indian wicketkeeper who can also bat ! But just compare his performance in d Pakistan tour nd the champions trophy.....agreed dat he is a bit out of form but the way he used to play has completely changed ! The Free hitting Fearless dhoni has suddenly vanished nd i can only blame chappell for it !

excuse me his wicket keeping is nothing to write home about.

We had said the same thing when Parthiv Patel came into Indian side, boy wonder, super batsmen, great keeper, but over time its the keeping that counts and unless dhoni doesn't improve that he won't be staying in the team for long
His batting is anyway suspect when the ball is moving or the pitch is bouncy.( unfair, the whole Indian batting is suspect then )
