it was an idiotic move in the first place to give telecast rights to a new channel. Last i heard, neo sports was asking for 77Rs per month per connection from cable operators, obviously they wont pay so much for a single channel

Well even though it falls well within monopolistic practices. Still nimbus was not asking for much. Their request of having 15 min prog telecasted immediately after match was refuse by DD. Agreed they r not patriotic, but its business where more investment u make more profit u get. Its inefficiency of DD that prevents them to match their bids against other channels. On top of that it wants to earn by telecasting free feed 5 ball overs and raking in moolah. If it was patriotic then,
1.It will not put advt when bowlers are in real action.
2.It should have accepted nimbus demands.
Lastly as a act of patriotism will DD accept to the condition of not showing ads or passing whole of revenue to nimbus? I guess not. Its sad to see that these prasar bharati f****** use word patriotic just to fill up and probably win a law suit.

wasnt dere a clause previously were in u had to b experienced to be alloted the rights..I guess tats y ZEE was out previously rgt...

where clause or no cluse, stuff money and everything can be changed/erased according to your liking, thats the sad state of affairs here. Id say DD shud always be allowed the dirty feed of the Indian match no matter who the broadcaster is, dirty feed as in the same advertisements and logos as the channel that is broadcasting

Finally good decision for d public...DD' will show these matches but lik at a delay of 7 mins..!!but nyways public will get to see it..!!Good decision!!
